Has walked-the-walk in her own journey with conquering debt and wealth-building. From tackling personal decisions to reaching important milestones, my job is to guide you on the path of success. I’m fueled by my commitment to excellence and go the extra mile to make sure clients are fully satisfied with my work. As a professional Financial Consultant, I believe in maintaining a positive mindset, creating partnerships with a purpose, and always striving for significant outcomes.

Personal Accomplishments

Tonia has put in years of service on local boards and committees throughout Minneapolis. In 2006, after entering a Lutheran Social Service 5-year (DMP) Debt Management Plan, in which she successfully completed in 18 months, she became a homeowner.

In 2007-2008 she served as Vice Chair of Lutheran Social Service Financial Education Advisory Council and Volunteer Committee.

2016 Tonia transitioned her thirty-year Culinary career into an Financial Educators role, she presented over 300 financial education workshops a year, including but not limited to the Four Cornerstones of Financial Literacy and the Train the Trainer program.  She reached over 800 Senior Citizens in Senior Fraud Prevention workshops. Served as the Lead Project Manager of a new initiative coined GETLIFTED that was designed to create lasting financial wellness and reduce shame and stigma surrounding personal debt in North Minneapolis and the Eastside of Saint Paul, Minnesota where she also was the Lead Consultant for 60 Community Financial Ambassadors (CFA’s) 14 local non-profits and collectively we reached over 2500 community members with Financial Literacy.

For this work, Tonia was nominated and recognized as a 2018 Finance & Commerce Top Women in Finance Honoree.

Tonia is grounded in the culture of her community and works each day to pay it forward. In 2017 she came on board to serve as a coach and educator for the unprecedented Black Women’s Wealth Alliance 2018 Wealth Academy.  Similarly, in 2018, Tonia began serving as an Advisory Board member at BWWA.

Tonia is a graduate of the Neighborhood Development Center’s “Plan It” Entrepreneur Training and recently completed the financial education certification course at the University of MN extension program. She has dedicated much of her career working every day to pay it forward by developing new and innovative approaches to engage community members to move the needle surrounding financial wellness.
